Comment:
I am a nurse practitioner, I worked in the ER at the time I purchased it. I took it to work one weekend to do my own unofficial test. We tried it on almost every patient that weekend, including a child with febrile seizures who required frequent testing. I found that putting it in the dimple behind the ear provided more consistent accurate readings. For most every patient it was right on. Including the febrile seizure patient we compared several rect@l temps to. We even stopped using the rect@l temps and using my thermometer. Sometimes there are lemons I am sure and some of it will be user problems. I would and do recommend this to my patients.

Great thermometer

Strength
Quick and accurate
Weakness
The beaping is not terribly loud, but it could wake up the baby.
This thermometer is very easy to use. It gives the body temperature after a scan on the forehead. It doesn't require any additional purchase of the filters. The most important thing is it is accurate. The other thing which I also like is the option to choose between F and C units because I am used to the C unit and the regular thermometer I bought from CVS only displays F numbers. The downside of the meter is the beep sound. I don't think it is of any use. There is no way to turn it down.
