I couldn't get this thermoter to read greater than 96 on myself. It read closer to normal for my kids when they were sick, and when we checked with an old 'under the tongue' model they had a fever. I thought maybe I just didn't have good technique until our school called and told us our kid had a fever and we went to the Dr; the nurse used an exogen and said there was no fever, but when we asked to double check with an oral thermometer, sure enough - fever over 100. How many kids are getting misdiagnosed or not diagnosed with serious illnesses because of this?!

We have used this for the last year on our baby/toddler. It's easy to use, quick and works perfect for fussy babies and wiggling toddlers - as well as non-cooperative adults.

Great thermometer

Strength
Quick and accurate
Weakness
The beaping is not terribly loud, but it could wake up the baby.
This thermometer is very easy to use. It gives the body temperature after a scan on the forehead. It doesn't require any additional purchase of the filters. The most important thing is it is accurate. The other thing which I also like is the option to choose between F and C units because I am used to the C unit and the regular thermometer I bought from CVS only displays F numbers. The downside of the meter is the beep sound. I don't think it is of any use. There is no way to turn it down.
