I have several thermometers for my kids each one gives a different temp but this one varies the most. The good thing is you can do it without waking them but thats about it. You can do it several times in a row and get vastly different results. I personally prefer the in ear ones.

We've never been able to get an accurate temperature using this thermometer. We were getting readings between 96-98 when our daughter had a fever of over 103. When we got to urgent care they said they see this problem with these types of thermometers all the time and don't suggest using them. I have friends who are nurses who say the same thing.

After my son had a febrile seizure because I was unaware of his actual temperature with our old thermometer I bought this one and we love it! It is very accurate if used correctly. It was only .1 off from his temp at the ER when we had to take him back in. I can see how people can be frustrated and not get accurate readings but if you read or watch a video on how to use it you should get an accurate reading every time! I recommend this thermometer to everyone!
How long have you owned it:
Three-to-six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
