The 1 Series is available as a two-door coupe or convertible. Two six-cylinder engines are offered, including a powerful 3.0-liter, 300-hp turbocharged version. The 135i we tested was fun to drive, with excellent steering and body control, as well as a smooth shifter and clutch. It was super-agile and quick, and returned decent fuel economy. The snug interior features high levels of fit and finish, although it feels a bit austere. A 135is arrives for 2013 with more horsepower. Reliability of the 128i has been above average and the 135i has improved to average.
