2016 Ford Escape Pricing

Ford Escape Model Summary

Ford's small SUV has a solid feel and drives very well, with agile and sporty handling and a composed ride. The cabin is very quiet for the class, but some of the controls are needlessly complicated. For 2016 the Escape gets the Sync3 infotainment system, replacing the much-maligned MyFord Touch. The driver's footwell is a bit narrow, and the base-level cloth seats provide just so-so support and comfort. The optional leather seats are better shaped. The rest of the interior is roomy enough. Most models have a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder; uplevel models use a stronger and quieter 2.0-liter turbo. Both got 22-mpg overall in our tests. A rear-view camera is standard. Reliability has been below average.
