CR Model Summary
The Chevrolet Silverado and its GMC Sierra twin were redesigned for 2007, sharing a platform with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. The new Silverado retains the selectable, full-time, four-wheel-drive system and generous load capacity of the previous model. Electronic stability control is standard in the crew-cab model but optional in the extended cab. The new truck has more responsive handling, a steadier ride, and better interior fit and finish. The powertrain isn't as refined as the ones in the Nissan Titan and Toyota Tundra. First-year reliability has been average.
