This new small SUV is based on the redesigned Sentra sedan. It uses the same 2.5-liter engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT) as the Altima. Electronic stability control, curtain air bags, and active head restraints are standard. The interior is laid out well and features a two-level glove box and a cargo organizer for the rear.

CR's take. We like the combination of this engine and CVT in the Altima we tested for this 2008 new cars review. The Rogue also provides a wealth of available electronic goodies for this class, including Bluetooth compatibility and keyless access and starting.
