I use this on both cars. My car is white & often I notice the next day spots where I didn't get all the wax removed. So I carry a rag with me for a couple days after I wax it. that doesn't happen with my wife's gold car. Usually this wax last for 4+ months on my car. Usually water is still beading up when I am ready to wax again. I am going to try one that CR says is easier to remove even though it doesn't last as long. I also use it on our washer & dryer - they look great!

this product I had been using for over 10 years, maybe even 15 whenever it first came out. If you put use it as directed it works great, I wax my car twice a year and after 10 years in the Florida sun my car looked fantastic. My advice is to do small areas at a time because this stuff is hard to remove if left on too long. also avoid rubber.

I have used Nu Finish in both the liquid and paste formulations for many years and in a number of different environments. From lots of sun and rain to heavy wet snow to high UV and high winds and it has done what it says it does very well -well sort of. What do I mean? Well, reading some other reviews, one might get the impression that the product doesn't really work but the problem is (I found out through trial and error) that you can't just put on one coat and forget it unless you washed your car in distilled water.

Generally, I use a cleaner wax if the car is older with a large supply of terry cloth towels -so that I can use each only over a very small area. Then, I use the paste first. I have never tried the microfiber cloths that CR recommends to that will be something new but I would apply with the terry cloths -again small area per towel and removed with what once would have been a cloth diaper. Then, I use the liquid and wait about a week. I then wash the car really well and then do it all again. After that, I have a very easy job every month or so -it is there to protect the paint so why wait? The process usually takes the whole can of the paste and half the liquid but after that, the next application is about as taxing as drying the car.

I am not obsessed with polishing the car, I just found that it is easier to do it this way in the long run and it really does protect the finish. As to the plastic problem, I use a spray wax to wipe it off and so far so good and I suspect that it would also work on the white residue that some have seen. Previous cars had black trim in a few places where it was imposible not to get wax but ArmorAll and a foam applicator from the hardware store took care of that.

No, even with all that work, it is not as glossy as some I have seen but then I rather have enough gloss but lots of protection. If someone from NuFinish reads this: find a different bottle!! Fixing how it comes out would be nice but make the new bottle durable and narrower -it wouldn't take much- so as to fit comfortably in the hand.
