Comment:
great unit for a few days, then epic fail. The lcd screen failed without warning in a week. I am going to exchange it and give it a second chance since my prior Garmin lasted 3 years

Comment:
Got this half off at a clearance sale, so i'm digging it. If i paid 350-400 for it i'd feel ok though. By far the best portable GPS i've played around with - compared to PDA, other brands, and auto factory navi. Satellites take a while to load and battery life while actively using navigation needs to be improved (all electronics like this struggle here and the 3760 is above average relative to the pack in my opinion). Overall though, strong thumbs up and really like it for road bicycling too. When in standby mode the battery is saved and will last for a couple of days, so on a 3-5 hour road ride you can keep it in standby and use it as backup if you decide to change course or look for a different route ad hoc. Nice and light and can even be mounted on handlbars but need after market adapters. I just keep it in my pocket or camelback. Battery seems to charge relatively quickly, so not bad there either. Have not looked at solar charging options.
