Comment:
My Wife and I have both told our Daughter, best gift ever! My Wife has been our primary navigator for 40 years and has always had the latest Rand McNally in the car. I bought her the 2015 edition just before we started our 2,000 mile round-trip to visit our Son, and we Never used the map for directions the entire time. This unit worked flawlessly the entire time. It provided us peace of mind while traveling.

Comment:
I find this non-programmable GPS to be mostly accurate and easy to use, vivid dimmable screen display, with very good points of interest, free lifetime map updates, I like the lane junction view and the on the move rerouting. Like all non-programmable GPS it will, depending on your setting, find the fastest/shortest route, which means it will navigate in a straight or at right angle to the destination, which sometimes means alot of unnecessary right and/or left turns. If you are looking for an inexpensive, easy to use, accurate GPS this is the one. If you want to be able to customize your route then get a very expensive programmable GPS or the DeLorme Street Atlas GPS program for your laptop to custom design your own route.

Comment:
I used this device for traveling long distances. It is next to impossible to program it for a custom route with several stops. There is nothing obvious about programming the device. The online user manual is useless. It has taught me to curse the a blue streak. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
