Took these off my 2003 Corolla after 90,000 miles
because I could no longer stand the noise. They kept getting louder the longer I drove them. I probably could have got another 10,000 miles out of them as none of the wear bars where showing. I had over inflated the tires by 10% and drove conservative (slow) because as a courier I paid all my own expenses. I was able to average 40 MPG and I had no problems with handling or traction. A great tire for a car with good sound insulation.

My third set of Triple-tread has over 83,000 miles and I expect another 10,000. Started with a set on my 1999 Honda Accord. Liked them so much that I put them on my 2007 Nissan Murano. Not inexpensive, but the traction and ride comfort last well beyond 80,000 miles.

This is my second set of these tires. The first bought in 2008 had the following issues:
* wore out prematurely
* noisy, esp. on the highway
* winter traction degraded after the first year
* lousy on ice after first year

Due to premature wear, the tire dealer replace my 4 tires with a prorated refund from Goodyear (the dealer indicated premature wear was common on the first version of this tire)

NOTE: Goodyear changed the tread design a few years ago. You can tell the old design by the diagonal ribs being connected to the longitudinal center (ice traction) ridge. This original design feature was largely responsible for the noisiness of the tires. The newer design has these diagonal ribs ending short of the center rib, allow vibration to dissipate more freely and reducing noise.

The newer set:
* excellent dry traction still after ~ 35000 miles
* winter traction only decent in snow
* ice traction lousy after two winters (note: this is where all season tires tend to be lacking anyway but these definitely disappoint, as they claim to have an 'ice traction zone')
* not as noisy as the first set still but not the quietest
* wet traction has decreased noticeably (but not alarmingly)

I would still recommend these tires but with reservation. They are excellent at first but only average after a couple of years (~20,000 miles). The main advantage at this point is that the newer set is showing long tread life.

For my next set of tires, I will look for quieter tires. My car is old enough that it makes its own noise so tire performance and rolling resistance will now matter more.
