Comment:
Purchased set of four replacement tires.Though tires were quiet and confortable on the highway, in afternoon slow and go highway traffic handling was not the level I had become accustomed to. Around town, my agile small sedan had become no fun to drive at all. Could not recommend these tires.

Comment:
These tires are still pretty new to me, but they have re-newed my car. I drive a 2004 Camry wtih 190,000+ miles. My last set of tires were not quite worn out, but I got a good deal on these, so I went ahead and replaced them. My car is incredibly quiet now, and the ride is so smooth that my wife even noticed it from the passenger seat. Bumps in the road are much less jarring. The traction on dry pavement and in the rain is excellent, and they have not hydroplaned at all. My car feels like a luxury car. I have not checked the gas mileage, so I cannot comment on that aspect. I agree that the tires are not as responsive and do not provide the feedback that sportier tires might, and they might drift a little more than my other tires (though not excessively or dangerously). However, they do exactly what I want. For me, they are perfect. Like another reviewer, these are the best tires I have purchased in 30 years. I strongly recommend them. (They are still new to me, and I am still amazed at the difference they have made, but if something changes for the negative, I will update my review.)

Comment:
I drive a 2006 Forester and replaced the original Yokohama Geolanders with the Ecopia tires in an attempt to improve fuel mileage. A welcome surprise was how quiet and comfortable these tires were. Fuel mileage is superlative and even better than what Bridgestone claims. I would highly recommend these tires if improved mileage is a priority. I have never driven them in snow and wouldn't expect them to be very good due to the tread pattern. I do not notice any problems with grip in the wet, but the Forester AWD is maybe partly responsible for this. We drive on gravel roads quite often and haven't had any problems. As Bridgestone claims, these tires will pay for themselves over their lifespan.

Best tire Ive ever driven on
08/10/2012
Strength
extremely quiet, improved mpg, great handling, excellent wet and dry traction.
Weakness
none
This tire is on a Nissan Maxima and made a new car out of it. This tire is so quiet on the interstate and actually improved my gas mileage 2.5 mpg. Tires are great on highways, walks right through water. Best tire Ive ever purchased in 30 years.

Not for Highway Use
01/08/2012
Strength
Quiet, fairly good traction
Weakness
Soft sidewalls, very poor responsiveness
I was beyond the point of when I should have purchased new tires and chose Firestone because they got got me in on a walk-in and could do the alignment (which I badly needed). I first tried a set of Firestones.During the next several days I thought the tires handled kind of sloppily and I had to put in greater effort than usual to follow my usual lines on the highway but, we had high winds for those several days. Then, I had a family emergency 250 miles away and took the interstate to get there. I had such a horrible time controlling my car and keeping it in the lines, let alone driving a straight line, that it was incredible. The final straw was when I passed a semi-truck and the turbulence almost threw me completely off the highway; Ive put 75k miles on that vehicle and never had a similar issue. At the next rest-stop I pulled over and called the franchise to let them know. A week later after Id returned, they got me in to recheck the alignment. Following that the car was still having trouble tracking straight so then they charged me the difference to upgrade to the Bridgestone Ecopia EP422s.After installing the EP422s I was still having trouble controlling the car and called again. This time the manager was less helpful and said hed done all he could do and told me to take it to the dealership.A week later I had the car aligned at a facility that had a brand new $80k alignment system put in only a few months earlier. Now, the car tracks real well, but I discovered that these tires have such soft sidewalls that the wind still blows me all over the road and they are so slow and sluggish to respond that its easy to over-correct or make the car sway from re-correcting. I discovered that one can push the back end of the car from the side, let it go and watch the rims oscillate over the tires as the sidewalls sway back and forth over the tread.Wonderful touring tire, as long as you dont travel at high speeds in a windy or blizzard type environment.
