Cons

End Cap Falls Off
Best Uses
Comment:
This may be a problem which only affects people in freezing climates but in winter the cap which holds the blade in place falls off. Without the cap the blade slides out and falls out if you're not careful to keep pushing it back in. Many people have reported this problem (search reviews on other sites). Rain-X does not provide replacement caps. Rain-X really should fix this as it is quite dangereous to lose your wipers fail in a snow or rain storm.

Bought these for my 2007 Rav4 more than a year ago and they are still going strong. Living in BC we get a lot of rain and these guys do a great job.

Comment:
I bought this blade because it was well reviewed and is said to last a long time. I installed it on 2 cars and 1 pickup. On all 3 vehicles the blades do not seem to apply even pressure. In one case I returned the passenger side blade because of it and the replacement wasn't much better. I've tried this style blade before (newer, one piece plastic beam style) and ran into similar problems. But because of the reviews here and elsewhere I decided to go with these blades. Because of how expensive they were and how unevenly they clean my windshield (which is especially annoying with all the salt being used now that it's winter) I have significant buyer's remorse. I will probably go back to a traditional metal framed blade when I replace these. I should say though that the rubber insert that actually does the wiping seems to do a really good job. If only it were subject to even pressure from the beam!
