Consumers Union
Annual Fund Donations

Your valuable tax deductible donation supports the annual ongoing efforts of Consumers Union, the nonprofit publisher of Consumer Reports, and makes it possible for us to continue to be independent, expert and unbiased.

Consumers Union continually faces great challenges in meeting its commitment to working for a fair and just marketplace for all consumers. To meet these challenges, the Consumers Union needs to enlist the support of individuals like you.

Consumers Union is committed to keep pace with an exponentially expanding array of consumer products and services. In recent years, entirely new classes of products have entered the marketplace, and continue to do so at a dazzling rate, like personal computers, cellular phones, PDAs, Compact Disks, DVDs, MP3 players, and hybrid automobiles, to name a few .  Every time a new class of products or services is born, variations within that class proliferate and Consumers Union needs to be there to test them all.

Consumers Union is there to tell you the truth.

Identity theft is rampant today. Consumers Union is committed to improve financial privacy protections and the curtailment of shared personal information among financial institutions.

Auto safety issues affect not only drivers but also passengers and pedestrians.  Consumers Union informs the public on important issues such as sightlines, airbag safety, child seat installation, tire roadworthiness and reliability, rollover risk, and headlight quality.

Consumers Union provides information free to the public on recalls, health and safety issues, and important social concerns.  You will find free information and updates on issues such as mad cow disease and prescription drugs on ConsumersUnion.org, ConsumerReports.org or any of our other websites.

Consumers Union accepts NO corporate donations, freebees or advertising.  We buy each product we test, like you, from retail stores.
