Remember Consumers Union with a bequest or distribution in a will or trust

You can leave a legacy to ensure that nonprofit Consumers Union continues its mission.

Remembering Consumers Union in your will or trust can be easily accomplished through a designation of a specific dollar amount or other property. You may also designate that Consumers Union should receive a certain amount or percentage of your estate or trust assets.

The bequest or distribution in your will or trust is fully deductible for estate tax purposes.

Remembering Consumers Union in your will or trust means inclusion in the Consumers Union Legacy Society.

How Can I Remember Consumers Union in my Will or Trust?

You should refer to Consumers Union in your will or trust as “Consumers Union of United States, Inc.”, of Yonkers, NY. Our tax identification number is 13-1776434.

The following is some sample language that you may use to remember CU in your will or trust:

“I give and bequeath (The Trustee shall distribute) to Consumers Union of United States, Inc., Yonkers, New York, the sum of $__________ (or ____ percent of the rest and residue of my estate or trust) to be used by it for its general charitable purposes.”
