Comment:
I have had my p5's for about a year and a half and use them around the house with my music player and tablet. I also use them when gaming on my PC or listening to hi-res music and CDs. They would be great on the train or bus during commutes to work or school. They look great, unlike all the plastic trendy blown out bass headphones out there. I was once told by a complete stranger that the p5 was the sexiest headphones they had ever seen. They definitely have style.

I bought them because they block out a fair bit of noise but not so much that the rest of the world disappears. Also the sound quality was amazing. Best described as laidback. The bass is deep and controlled, not boomy like the brands most popular with the 20 something and under crowd. The treble is very well balanced and not so bright that it becomes fatiguing. You could easily watch whole movie or listen to music for hours with these things. There is a lot of detail. I found that the vocal range was a bit muddy at first. This was something I decided to overlook because everything else about these headphones was what I was looking for. Most people won't even notice. I don't even notice anymore.

If you are thinking of buying Monster or Dr. Dre, or anything in the same price range, DON'T! until you listen to the p5's.

Comment:
These are outstanding headphones. The sound quality is superb. As with all Bowers and Wilkins products, they are overpriced but worth it. They take awhle to burn in (or for the user to adjust). They provide a nice, flat, undistorted, nuanced, not excessively bright treble or excessively boomy bass, lack the Senheiser veil that plagues some cans in this price range. Although they are not actively noise-cancelling, they are quite isolating, so others don't hear you and vice versa. The construction is quite nice. The ear pads and cables are replacible. The cable seems extremely thin and potentially fragile, but doesn't compromise the sound quality.
