I set this HTIB as directed in the owners manual and have not been disappointed with the clarity, bass, surround sound or overall performance of the system. My biggest gripe is that I cannot pick up the local jazz station or NPR on the tuner!! The addition of an accessory I-phone device is highly encouraged and that is reasonably priced. Overall though, what you get for the money is high quality, room filling quality surround sound at a terrific price. I've owned this system for a about 18 months and one of the satellite speakers is no longer working BUT with a 5 year speaker warranty from Boston, no worries - just be sure to save your reciept. Stop procrastinating and go get this system - you will not be disappointed with the result.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
There is an after-effect with voices especially with female voices along with an occasional loud crack like sound. I shut the woofer to off because of the pounding throb from the device. I really tried to adjust to it, but couldn't convince myself it really wasn't all that bad.<br />Will return to store for a refund.
