range of remote is very limited

it serves it's purpose as a sound enhancer. but my remote and yes we changed the battery, is very limited you need to be directly in front of it and within 5 feet of the unit to get it to work. vizio customer service said that was unusual, but i won't buy another vizio.

Actually have similar Vizio unit without separate subwoofer; bought a Sony subwoofer to use with it and improved sound a lot. Bought it to replace a surround sound home theater system that had wires draped all over... what a mess! This was supposed to imitate surround sound, but it does NOT. Movie sound is basically flat with no improvement over a T.V. show. Sound is better than t.v. speakers, but does not come close to a decent home theater system. But... was cheap.
