About - Sony Alpha 6000

The Alpha 6000 is a 24-megapixel camera with a kit lens that has a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 24mm-75mm. It has a 2.9-inch LCD (921,600 pixels) that swivels. It also includes an electronic viewfinder, which is helpful when composing in bright light.

Because it accepts interchangeable lenses but does not have a mirror and through-the-lens viewfinder, we consider this model a mirrorless SLR-like camera.

The camera's kit lens has a maximum aperture of f/3.5. The camera's shutter speed range is 30 seconds to 1/4000 of a second.

The Alpha 6000 stores photos and video on SD/SDHC/SDXC/MemoryStick Duo memory cards but has no on-board storage. It captures images as JPEG or RAW files at a top resolution of 6000 x 4000 and full HD-resolution video as MP4 files at a top resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a frame rate up to 60p and 60i fps.

The image stabilization system for this camera is optical.

The Alpha 6000 measures 5.1 inches wide by 2.7 inches high by 1.9 inches deep, and weighs 12 ounces (with battery, memory card, and strap).

About This Brand

Sony offers innovations at relatively high prices. Cyber-shot compacts and subcompacts offer distinctions such as touch screens and sleek bodies. The W series are budget lines. High-end H series compacts, and premium T series subcompacts tend to be priced higher than other brands.  Sony has expanded its SLR Alpha series significantly and offers cameras for every advanced camera user and budget, including models that have very large, full-frame sensors and special features, such as a High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature. It also has a wide range of lenses. Its SLR-like NEX series models include key SLR features, such as interchangeable lenses, but will have the small size and weight of a point-and-shoot. Sony has 3D technology on select basic and advanced cameras but it is limited to its special panorama models.

Comment:
Well, after owning a variety of Camera's in my life I must say the Sony A6000 is by far the best one yet. I'm impressed how fast it takes action shots with fast and accurate focusing. The menu is easy to navigate and I really find the WIFI feature very useful. There is no perfect camera including this one, but this camera is perfect for my lifestyle without compromising picture quality, speed and accuracy.
How long have you owned it:
One-to-three months
