Many thousands of exposures over one year, on a cruise, two graduations, multiple ski areas and other family and nature outings. I've learned to use Clear all camera settings a lot, so I can feel free to use various features, but not leave it set that way and forget (like accidentally use Tungsten color-comp outdoors or with flash). Great outdoor results by setting auto-bracketing, high-speed continuous drive, and shooting bursts of 3; then later, you save the best one and throw out the other two. Only complaint is that HD video auto focus is slow, and while it's hunting in and out, it's recording blurry video, but you can edit that out later. There's a way to use the quick auto-focus, but it has to switch out of LCD preview mode, and it doesn't work when actively shooting video and your subject moves. At 1080 lines, 2-3 minutes of video uses 1GB of memory.

Comment:
A very nice, DSLR camera rich with nearly every feature you may want as photo enthusiast. Most common features are quickly accessible from the dials and buttons on the body, however using the menus to access more advanced settings and features can get a bit confusing. Autofocus works very well.

The bundled 18-135mm lens is good for someone starting out with DSLRs, but you will quickly find yourself wanting to do more for which this lens is not suitable. For example, it will not allow for great extreme close up (Macro) photos.

This is a great camera that allows you to upgrade and expand as your skills increase.
