About This Brand

Nikon has a fairly extensive line of point-and-shoot models, known as Coolpix cameras. Its subcompacts, compacts, and super zooms are divided into three series—the budget L, step-up S, and high-end P series. Nikon also has an innovative S series camera that includes a built-in projector that lets you beam images or video clips onto any surface. Like Canon's SLR lineup, Nikon's D series offers cameras for every SLR user and budget and a wide range of lenses. High-end SLRs include large, full-frame sensors, which offer better quality in low light.

Comment:
My wife gave me this camera to be used in place of my Canon Rebel when I wanted a smaller camera to carry to certain events. This camera is terrible when it comes to pictures. It produces bad indoor shots(blurry, washout with flash, and white spots in some). I have a warranty on this camera and have taken it back twice to Wolf Camera to have fixed. Still not right and have taken it to Wolf Camera again and waiting to see what they will do. I dont want this camera anymore due to all the headaches and poor pictures. NOT happy with all the extra work I am having to do with Wolf Camera to get this worked out. Nikon has lost my vote with this camera and Wolf Camera's verdict is still out but so far not happy with them either.

Comment:
I bought this as an upgrade to the awesome older coolpix that I owned and was very disappointed in the quality of the photos!! This camara takes horrible indoor photos no matter what setting you use. It does however take great outdoor photos. I love the large screen and the touch, though sometimes the touch is a bit too touchy. Overall I am not happy with this camara.

Comment:
This camera has made me re-think buying Nikon again. I am really disappointed with the quality, flash and ease of use.
The pictures show white spots in the shots and the lag time between shots sucks.
I am still struggling to find the best automatic setting.
