About - Samsung NP900X3C-A01US Ultrabook

The Samsung NP900X3C-A01US Ultrabook is a 13.3-inch laptop with an LCD resolution of 1600 x 900. It has 4GB of memory and a 128GB hard drive. It has an Intel Core i5-3317U 1.7GHz processor and Intel HD Graphics 4000 video adapter but no dedicated video memory, so it's not well suited for high-performance video gaming. But it lacks an optical drive for burning CDs or DVDs. It comes with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed.

The NP900X3C-A01US Ultrabook has a built-in memory card reader for digital photography, a multitouch touchpad, and 2 USB ports. It has HDMI out for connecting to an HDTV. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11n, so it's compatible with the latest high-speed routers.

The NP900X3C-A01US Ultrabook measures 12.3 inches wide by 0.6 inches high by 8.6 inches deep and it weighs 2.6lbs. It's backed by a 12 month warranty, with 12 months of tech support.

Comment:
There are many positive features with this product with the exception of the wifi card. You have to be sitting next to your router or buy extenders to place in your office or home. Sent it in twice to fix the problem and it was sent back the same way. I have searched the internet and found many unhappy buyers with the same problem. Consumer Report missed this in their testing.

Comment:
I've used portable computing for 20 years. The best machines back then were Toshiba. Today it seems to be Samsung. (Windows based). This laptop is amazing. Speed to start and battery are exceptional. Portability, is like a tablet. I carry it and my iPad and still have lots of room for files in my bag. I picked it because my clients are windows based. I'm not a gamer but I suspect it's not designed for that. For a business user it is special. For a home user it would be fine but you would probably like a larger screen.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
I bought it because of the design (still good), the weight (amazing) and the screen (fantastic resolution, and non-glare).

I'm now getting a full refund. Had to send it back twice to repair the trackpad. They finally gave up. Couldn't exchange it -- have to get refund.

The trackpad is unreliable and too sensitive. The customer service to address it was the worst I'd seen.

Now in market for a new one. Almost two months of time wasted getting it fixed.
