I purchased this computer for my Daughter for x-mas. Right out of the box it would not power up I had to remove the battery to get it to come on. Once on I reinstalled the battery and noticed it would not charge. I called Acer Tech support and after 30 minutes of trying to explain to the technician, that did not speak or understand English very well, The said they would send me a new battery. I recevied the battery about 10 days later. Unfortunalty I still have the same problem. When I called them back I have to send them my computer at my expense. They also told me It might cost me money to reapir it even though it it is still under warranty. Not very happy with there product and customer service

I suppose the best feature is it's portability/versatility. I have found nothing but smartphones to be more portable, but there's a hefty cost to them. I have owned several Acers and other brands. I have found nothing better than Acer for the money.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Got this at a great price at a warehouse store (not Bentonville-based) 10 months ago. Great to have their 2 year warranty. Runs Office 2010 just fine. I plug in a monitor, keyboard and mouse and it runs only slightly slower than my work laptop. Used it to show a video at an academic conference and no problems. Battery lasts about 5.5 hrs using Office. Touchpad is good. Keyboard has a slightly weird feel for my large hands. Home and End are blue keys - not great for Word. I have recommended this to coworkers.
