About - Lexmark Pro 915
---
The Lexmark Pro 915 is an all-in-one inkjet printer with scan and copy functions, an automatic document feeder, built-in faxing, and both Wi-Fi and Ethernet networking. It works with both Windows and Mac OS. Individual cartridges for each color let you change only the ones that are empty. The capacity of the main paper tray is 150 sheets, a typical size. There's an automatic document feeder to let you copy or scan a stack of pages in one operation. The printer has a large, 3.1-inch display screen that can preview photos to be printed from a memory card. It's got a touchscreen, used to control the printer. Like most color printers, the Lexmark Pro 915 has a memory-card reader, which can accept these types of memory cards: Memory Stick, MultiMedia, Secure Digital, xD-Picture Card. It has PictBridge for direct printing from cameras. You can connect directly to a PC with a USB cable, or to your network router either wirelessly with Wi-Fi or with an Ethernet cable. This model has built-in faxing, can store incoming faxes if the paper runs out, and can send faxes from an attached PC. It can access the Internet directly, using downloadable 'apps' stored in the printer, letting you print information from news and entertainment services.

Comment:
Price was good but it's been consistently problematic. Paper tray is poorly designed. Also went into power save and didn't return for hours....Also does not let you choose b/w or color printing. Auto feed part broke without our touching it!!

From the very start this printer has been nothing but frustration. I bought it BECAUSE of the rating from CR. I will not trust that again.<br />It does not function well for scanning nor does it print well. The machine is very slow to respond, if it reponds at all, and ink is expensive. The online support is an absolute JOKE...<br />I have gone out and bought a cheap lazer printer to use on a daily basis and use this only for scanning until I can figure out what to replace it with. <br />This has got to be the worst printer I have ever owned or used and I will never even consider another LexMark. <br />DO NOT even consider this printer.

Tech-savvy user. Moderately high monthly usage, I was attracted by the economical black ink costs.<br /><br />This unit is garbage. Never printed clearly regardless of how many time heads are aligned or cleaned. Black mostly passable, color always streaky. Nearly impossible to find out why but hints online sugggest a product-wide faulty print head. Poor paper transport, flimsy paper bays. Very reluctant to duplex printing, only a sometimes thing. Terrible online support, although at first it looks good. Throughout the last few months I have tried hard to make this wretched piece of junk work properly and am finally ridding myself of it once and for all.<br /><br />Nothing at all to recommend, really shocked at the rating by CR. In fact this product is so bad it causes one one to wonder, actually. Maybe CR got testing data mixed up with a competent product from somewhere else?
