I have had this printer for about six months. For some reason the IP address keeps changing and I cannot get it to connect to my network. I have to let HP techs take control of my computer and do like a million different things before it works. This has happened at least four times and I still can't pinpoint why it is happening. HP says that every time the router is restarted a new IP address is assigned...hence I can't get it on the network. Never had these issues with other HP printers...just this one. Also it often will cancel half way through a printing job. I don't recommend this printer...currently shopping for another brand.

After less than a year of light use, it stopped printing black. Discovered online that this is a common problem with this model. I wasted a great deal of time and colored ink trying to get it to print black again, I gave up and threw it in the trash! Probably won't buy an HP again.

I bought one Envy printer and had to return it because of a faulty command screen. (Neither I nor the repair guy could get it to display info such as copy, scan and other commands it was supposed to display.) I then took home another Envy and was unable to get the scan function to work. Granted, I have an old computer and a MAC operating system of 10.6.8, but that was supposed to be okay. Finally I gave up. I'm now looking around for an alternative printer.
