I am news nut reading & video! Also love music so google is my browser! And I was disappointed when they change chrome this year! But when Norton stop working with google I was dead in the water! I am not going to raise my blood pressure here! But after a week too many long waits then even longer calls! The answer I got was we can not fix it just shut off that part of your computer security? Really then why did you auto update it on my computer in the first place? I was told I need it, but evil google cause it not to work? Well as I am writing this I am having another issure with the two! And norton support just told me like before it not them & wont fix it do it your self or have google do it! I do have to say that when it worked it good but every 3 to 6 months it does not & it take support forevery just admit there something wrong & not to fix it! It NOT worth the money it cost in time when your wait on the phone because this time there so many call?

Comment:
Began using Norton Internet Security, then switched to N360. Have used N360 for 3 yrs. without serious issues. Updates are pushed out by Norton daily (hourly if needed). Good automated data backup capability. Custom and complete system scans can be easily scheduled to run when computer is not in use. Solid intergration of numerous programs into the N360 bundle. In the past, Norton has been responsive to customer input; such as, improvements to reduce system resource requirements in response to customer input and publication reviews. Norton sends information to registered users via e-mail on a monthly and as needed basis. These usually contain interesting and/or important information. Summarily deleting e-mails from a supplier whose service you subscribe to is not a good idea.
Potential customers should be aware that Norton's technical support is foreign based(Phillipines and India) which can present some language issues complicating the resolution of a technical problem. The one technical problem I experienced was resolved in one, although somewhat lengthy, telephone call.

Had Kaspersky Internet back to Norton

Since I am a novice all I could tell you is about other programs I have owned comparing them to Norton. Kaspersky Internet was toped rated so I bought it and returned it within 30 days to get a full refund from
a major internet retailer. Kaspersky Internet slowed my computer too much, I was unable to wait...HP E9270F Itel I7 860 2.8 GHZ. I also had Trend Micro and McAfee. All I can say is I pay under twenty a year buying a CD every year from a major interent retailer and so far so good. I do a lot of shopping, research, gaming and just general computer use and norton seems to be excellent for the price I pay.

Symantec Unethical Order Practices: BE CAREFUL!!!
02/17/2012
Strength
Weakness
Unethical business practices
I purchased norton anti virus approximately one year ago. I thought I made a simple purchase. A couple of days ago I received an email saying my Norton was about to expire. I deleted the email. A couple of days later, I received another email saying that my credit card was automatically charged the FULL retail price of Norton.I never signed up for a renewal. When I spoke to the Symantec rep he said the email, the one that I deleted, gave me the option of opting out, that they gave me notification. He also claimed that I signed up for an automatic subscribtion renewal, something I would NEVER do. The only way that could have happened is if they tricked me with a little tiny box at the bottom of the page that I had no idea even existed.Another thing you should know is that although Symantec makes a tremendous profit from American consumers and are HQed in California, all product support is in the Phillipines.
