Had high hopes based on reviews but it would not connect to home wi-fi nor other public wi-fi. Detected strong signal. Many others on the net have had same problem with little remedy. Will try one more, from a different store and perhaps batch. Also, the response seemed slow. Questionable support reported. Returning it.

I purchased 2 of the nexus 7 tablets as Christmas gifts and within 3-4 week we were already seeing issues with them. The first tablets problems started when it would not take a charge or even turn on. So I called for TEC support and all they have me do is hold the power button for 30-45 seconds until it turned on. Then I asked if this has been a problem and they told me yes it has been an on going issue and that costumers have to just deal with the issue. And that they will not replace it for these issues but if I send it in they would try and fix it but there has not been much luck with it and it would continue to function in the same matter. Then within 2 days of all the TEC support calls number 2 tablet starts acting up. It starts by having the same issue multiple times and then the issue happens that it would not even take a charge no matter what I did (instructed by tec support) by this time I am starting to become very raged as the manufacture (ASUS) says there is nothing they can do to help and that I need to contact the company that I purchased it for which entailed they say to contact ASUS .So after 3 to 5 different phone calls Quill the company where they were purchased finally manned up and credited me for the tablets. So in my personal opinion Google needs to find a new company to put their name on because ASUS is nothing but JUNKā¦And I would not recommend any of their products to anyone. So now it's been 3 weeks with our new Samsung Galaxy 7 tabs and no issues no problems they work great and I would recommend it over a Nexus 7 any day.
