About This Brand

Apple's smart phones have gone through years of conservative, incremental updates, but its latest models, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, catch up to device offerings from other phone makers in a serious way. The revamping includes a larger 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen respectively, a better battery life, enhanced messaging capabilities, and smart tweaks to their keyboard interfaces. Their Touch ID fingerprint, which promises a safe transaction while eliminating the need to type in a PIN or perform other cumbersome steps, now support the new Apple Pay-wallet service.

Comment:
I have the constant urge to throw out the cell phone. But I am a subscriber for two years. Numerous dropped calls and yet my monthly bill is about $180.00 for two phones. Battery lasts only half hour, despite charging overnight. Power cord connection wore out. I have to tape the cord to the phone so that the gadget will fully charge. Some emails are delivered garbled. Cannot view Adobe file attachments. Everything else works fine. Video and pics are of great quality. Good storage capacity. But I would not purchase another iphone, ever.

Comment:
I had a 4s before this, and loved it. The 5s has completely spoiled me with its fingerprint scanner, is always super snappy and uncomplicated, and comes with impressive free apps. Really good camera, and nice integration with my Civic and a lot of other stereos that come iPod equipped. Air Drop is much easier to use than NFC, and you can send almost anything even to your Mac or iPad instantly. <br />I was looking at reviews for the S5 because a friend had recently been disappointed with it and went back to the iPhone, and certainly, that Mike guy who writes the review is clearly an Android fan. Consumers Reports is the most unbiased source for anything, but they have not done this phone justice. I would highly recommend this phone to technical persons like myself, or to people like my mom who can only use something this simple and intuitive.
