About This Brand

RIM (Research in Motion) officially changed its name to BlackBerry early this year.  It simultaneously started its new operating system--BlackBerry 10--and two new phones, the Z10 and Q10, after a long drought of product introductions.  Highlights of the new OS include simultaneous but separate support for business and personal activity, BlackBerry Hub, a list of calls, messages, and calendar notifications received by the phone; BlackBerry Flow, the phone's menu/navigation system that relies on finger sweeps and other gestures made on a touch screen, and Flick, a predictive-text feature that essentially allows the phone to co-author memos, e-mails, and the like, through suggesting words it thinks will be next, based on what's already in the sentence. BlackBerry's legacy lines include the Bold, Torch, and Curve series available on multiple carriers.

Comment:
I use it as a pocket-size internet computer. The touchscreen keyboard sometimes unlocks itself causing un-planned calls, email, browsing, etc. I like the slider design and the light weight.
