I switched from an iPhone 4S to this - and regret it. I was frustrated when my iPhone stopped syncing with Outlook, but this phone has cost me more time and frustration than I can describe.

The phone has been replaced once under warranty, but still is undependable and annoying.

The phone will die suddenly and then when re-booted will designate a new home screen. There's no way to change the home designation, so you have to manually move all of your icons around.

The battery life is horrible and, as the other reviews indicate, the meter will go from 80% to nearly nothing in a matter of minutes.

The ergonomics are awful. The power button is small with no feedback, so you can't tell if it's been pressed or not. A particularly frustrating feature when the phone dies as often as it does and you can't tell whether it's a failure to press the button or if the phone has simply turned into a brick again.

The most recent problem is that yesterday it decided it didn't have a SIM card installed. Yet another trip to the ATT repair store. I was told that they've had lots of problems with this phone, including the SIM card tray. They replaced the tray and the SIM card worked again.

The HTC software that comes with the phone looks like something from the '80's and is useless. Each time that the phone has been either reset or replaced, I've had to start over with installing apps. Despite supposedly backing up with the HTC software, all photos and other information is simply gone.

Bottom line - this is the worst phone I've ever owned. ATT won't agree to replace it with a different model, yet.

Coming from an iPhone4 I was recommended this by the salesperson as a top of the range Android phone. It's OK; good quality and all, but I'm just not convinced. There's no wow factor for me.

The camera produces good results and the screen is large and has an excellent display. It's attractive and solid, but usability I'd say is good at best.

Specific problems are the touchscreen and battery.

The touchscreen is not always precise, and its performance is starting to decline. It occasionally stops recognizing a touch, and I have to lock/unlock the screen to reset it. Very annoying.

The battery life is shorter than I'd expect and the indicator is very erratic. It stays high for a long time but then drops alarmingly (the last 20% can disappear in minutes).

I'll probably be keeping it for the extent of the contract - there's nothing bad enough I feel the need to switch - but I wouldn't buy another given the choice.

Comment:
Phone has large display but thin profile so can be carry in pocket without issues. I liked most aspects - great display, fast download speed. However, its unpredictable power consumption, the battery drained overnight when battery indicator shown 80% remain, cause concern. The phone also get very warm just sitting in my pocket without any apps opened? Not sure if I have a defective phone or it is an issue with HTC phone, only time will tell.
