About This Brand

Samsung is well known for its innovative designs and has one of the largest lineups of smart phones that run on the Windows and Android operating systems. Samsung smart phones have the industry's most advanced technologies the Android platform has to offer. They include Multi window, which lets you interact with two apps simultaneously on one screen. For instance, you can watch a video while viewing an e-mail, or you can use Google Maps and messaging. The front-facing cameras on many Samsung models monitor you eyes while you're reading a Web page or other documents to prevent the screen from timing out. Some Samsung phones can also wirelessly share large files between each other after the phones are bumped together. Another innovation is touch-free gestures/controls (air gestures) that let you accept a phone call, move to another message, flip through photos, or skip to the next song in your playlist by waving your hand in front of the phone. Noteable lines include the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series.

Comment:
This is a truly remarkable phone. It's fast and has a razor sharp display. It also comes with not one, but two voice assistants - one from Google, the other from Samsung.

The device is fairly intuitive and easy to use. It's basically a small tablet, and very high functioning. It almost replaces a computer!

My only quibble is that the controls on the side (volume and power) are sometimes tricky to operate. Other than that, this is a great phone!

Comment:
Its easy to shut off side power button in the middle of photo taking. Will only allow 1 or 2 photos to be attached to a text message. States the file is too big. I am new to using a smart phone. I previously owned a cheap flip phone that didn't have a dedicated qwerty screen. I am only just beginning to learn how many functions it has. I have a co-worker who owns one and am looking forward to a tutorial from him. Its like I jumped 20 years into the future overnight.

Comment:
I'm an Android guy (Especially once they're rooted) and also old enough that a large, hi-res screen is highly beneficial. I honestly can't think of a single thing this phone can't or won't do that any other phone will. My girlfriend has the latest iphone and while it's a very good phone I wouldn't trade under any circumstances.

My old Motorola X was under-powered and would constantly crash or freeze up when I tried mult-tasking. The 4S has power to spare. I cannot make this phone lock up, even when I've tried. It simply will not crash or freeze up, period.

More powerful battery than the 3S and the phone seems to be better at power consumption. It's solid, but it could still be better.

Huge, but not too big, screen with great color and quality. The darn thing is still very difficult to see in bright daylight, though.

Best smart phone ever up to this point, IMO.
