About This Brand

Samsung is well known for its innovative designs and has one of the largest lineups of smartphones that run on the Windows and Android operating systems. Samsung smartphones have among the industry's most advanced technologies the Android platform has to offer. They include a feature that lets you interact with two apps simultaneously on one screen. For instance, you can watch a video while viewing an e-mail, or you can use Google Maps and messaging. The front-facing cameras on many Samsung models monitor your eyes while you're reading a Web page or other documents to prevent the screen from timing out. Notable lines include the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series.

Comment:
Sim card electric failure. Won't recognize sim card. Even after putting in new sim cards. Sent it to Samsung twice, apparently everything was fix!still won't recognize sim card. This is a common problem; search online and you'll see multiple reports of this. Can't use the device much if it won't recognize sim card. Can't believe consumer reports rated this device so high.

It's a great smart phone, probably capable of infinitely more than the random fact checking, photo taking, pdf reading and email clearing i do on it.

Comment:
This is a truly remarkable phone. It's fast and has a razor sharp display. It also comes with not one, but two voice assistants - one from Google, the other from Samsung.

The device is fairly intuitive and easy to use. It's basically a small tablet, and very high functioning. It almost replaces a computer!

My only quibble is that the controls on the side (volume and power) are sometimes tricky to operate. Other than that, this is a great phone!
