About This Brand

Samsung is well known for its innovative designs and has one of the largest lineups of smartphones that run on the Windows and Android operating systems. Samsung smartphones have among the industry's most advanced technologies the Android platform has to offer. They include a feature that lets you interact with two apps simultaneously on one screen.  For instance, you can watch a video while viewing an e-mail, or you can use Google Maps and messaging. The front-facing cameras on many Samsung models monitor your eyes while you're reading a Web page or other documents to prevent the screen from timing out. Notable lines include the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series.

Comment:
Switched from iPhone to Galaxy S4 and what a nightmare. Began having issues with SIM card not being recognized and not being able to send MMS messages. After several SIM card replacements it was deemed the phone was defective and a replacement (refurbished of course) was received. Within 1 month of replacement the same issues resurfaced. Several tech support people explained that there was a Bad Batch of S4's and this was a known issue with the S4. However, despite knowing there is a Bad Batch of S4's, Samsung refuses to make good on the product unless it is under warranty (apparently it doesn't matter that this is on-going). It will be my first and last Samsung smartphone.

Comment:
I like the phone, first of all, it was a reliable, powerful phone. but very quickly, all that changed. the battery life got shorter, thats not oo strange though, but this bug appeared that made it virtually unuasable. it randomly had to restart, saying that the sim card has been removed. sometimes it just refuses to see it at all. And no, it's not just one bad phone, my replacement had the same thing happen, except it started even faster. this one bug made relying on the phone a risk, which it should never be.

Comment:
I generally use the phone for business, checking email, text messaging, and Internet. Sprint is my carrier. Less often actually I make or receive calls. I have no complaints except selecting default apps and using the card storage. Regarding default apps, the instructions to set a default are cryptic and not intuitive. The user manual is not helpful either. I also would like to use card storage instead of phone storage but most apps don't provide the option. However, phone data storage has not been a problem. Further, the phone came will a multitude of apps I never use.
