About This Brand

Samsing is well known for its innovative designs and has one of the largest lineups of smart phones that run on the Windows and Android operating systems. Samsung smart phones have the industry's most advanced technologies the Android platform has to offer. That includes a feature that lets you play a video on a minimized screen so that you can perform other tasks, and front-facing cameras that monitor your eyes while you're reading a Web page or other documents to prevent the screen from timing out. Some Samsung phones can also wirelessly share large files between each other after the phones are bumped together. Noteable lines include the Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, and Nexus series, which have some of the largest and brightest displays in the industry.

Comment:
Contrary to CU report, MS Office doc/docx & xls/xlsx can be edited with free software from Sprint.

Add a 32gb MicroSD card and you have 64gb of storage -- and you can swap out 32gb of it -- much better than the LG Optimus which is limited to 32gb -- it doesn't have a MicroSD card.

While the LG phone has better battery life (8.75 vs 6.75 for the SIII according to CU), once it's dead, you better be able to plug it in. With the SIII's user replaceable battery, all you have to do is carry a spare charged battery & swap it out. External battery chargers are very inexpensive.

The phone is extraordinarily flexible -- configure it exactly the way you want it.

Suggested free software:
ES File Explorer, Lookout, Ultimate Backup TouchPal & A.I. keyboards [the A.I. only if you need a proper 10-keypad], Juice Defender Plus (depending on how you use it, the $1.99 version may be a better fit for you -- it is for me!), XiiaLive, MxPlayer, Boat Browser, Gmail Google Maps, Polaris Office Google Drive, Merriam Webster Dictionary, All Trails, My Tracks, GasBuddy, Google Sky.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
