I have purchased three setts of Panasonic cordless phones, mainly because of the features, such as the audible voice revealing the caller and the visible caller id when the television is on. All of these sets became unusable within a year to eighteen months because of static, making the three phones unusable.

There is no base station from which to get messages, and the instructions for accessing the answer feature were unclear. I could not get to the answer phone function to set it up, much less to access messages. It may be a good choice for those with voice mail programs with their telephone service provider, but not for those like me who use an in-house answer phone.
