Reading is fine; organization is awful.
I wanted a basic e-reader to take on vacations, so that I don't have to carry a lot of books. This fills that need perfectly. However, it is very difficult to organize your books. The library lists all the books on the device; if you have 50 books, you have at least 10 pages of book listings. You can create shelves; to add or remove books from a shelf, you edit the shelf, then scroll through all the pages of your library and select/de-select. Don't remember which books you want on the shelf? Too bad!!! You have to exit the shelf edit, go back to the library, scroll through the pages until you verify which ones you want on the shelf, go back to the shelf, edit the shelf, and scroll through all the pages again until you find the book.

How hard would it be to have an option on the book information page to add/remove the book from a shelf? I've searched for suggestions on how to manage books, and all I found were lots of complaints about the B&N software, and suggestions to use Calibre (so all books would be side-loaded).

Otherwise, a great device: easy to read, long battery life. It would also be nice if there was an option to rotate the display (my mother uses a fairly large font, which becomes almost hard to read when there are only a few words on a line).

But the difficulty of managing the books on the device makes me regret purchasing it, and I cannot in good conscience recommend it without making the drawbacks very clear.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
