Comment:
I'm a Senior Citizen who thinks this is one excellent product for prodigious readers. It's simply a portable library for whatever my interest is today. Consider the newer Nooks, of course, if you're buying now. For questions, I've used the local B&N store experts, and they've always come through for me.
Some of the eBooks are too expensive, but I've found many interests in the 'less than $5.00' list.
I gave several of these Nooks as gifts just to see reactions first, but soon received my own and it has been a treasure.

I use this to read at night and play games. I've had no issues with the battery but sometimes I need to hold down the button longer to turn it on.

Pros
Current Book Available
Lots Of Fellow Nook Owner
Variety of games
Vast Book Selection
Cons
Needs longer battery life
Touch screen sluggish
Best Uses
Playing Word Games
Reading books
Comment:
Circumvent battery short life by plugging in nightly.
Use to fill time spent in doctors waiting room, etc.
If you get tired of reading (or sleepy) easily switches to game mode to get you through.
Use stylus (smaller one than offered by B&N) to help overcome sluggish touch screen.
