Haier is a lesser-known brand of LCD TVs. It offers a diverse model line that includes small-to-large-screen LCD TVs, and also LCD HDTV/DVD combos, some with LED backlights. Its distribution is more limited than the better-known brands' and its models are generally priced below comparably featured models from the major brands.
This works well in the Seattle Metro Area but I don't understand why all these Portable (Emergency) TVs use built-in rechargeable batteries. How is that going to help me in an emergency? This TV will no longer hold a charge for more than 5 minutes. I recommend only buying one that can use AA batteries that you can get in an emergency.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Strength
it is a wonderful little tv that I use in my office, I havent had any problems with it yet.
Weakness
N/A
I would recommend this product to everyone...its a good tv.
Since the digital changeover this set receives only one small religious station!
Haier customer service refused to help me, does not do repairs, and has no list of local service centers. Nothing listed in the yellow pages. Ergo, my remaining warranty is useless.
