About This Brand

Samsung is a market leader and top-tier TV manufacturer. It is often an innovator, as with its use of LED backlighting in LCD TVs, and was one of the first TV brands to offer 3D TVs and Smart TVs. Samsung offers a wide range of LCD TVs and is one of only a few brands that still sells plasma TVs. Its TVs are distributed widely in national and regional retailers, and in mass-market and discount outlets. In addition to LCD and plasma TVs, Samsung also sells DLP-based home theater front projectors.

It's a great TV for the price I paid. I would have liked an RCA outlet for my headphones but none of the other brands have it anymore

I use my Plasma about 2 hours a day if that. It has had a very easy life. There is no reason why it should fail so soon for the price i paid.

Comment:
HDTV picture quality is as stunning as any other plasma's. Great size and not too heavy to move around. Great price on Cyber Monday. Great vetting by CR.

Setup was easy. I am glad I bought it.

The screen's mirror finish isn't too bad for my apartment.

I can live with the sound quality. The menu is a little blocky, and disorienting, but has a good selection of settings. Takes a long time to auto-tune the channels.

I like the choice of aspect ratios, with a dedicated button for it on the remote.
