About This Brand

Samsung is a market leader and top-tier TV manufacturer. It is often an innovator, as with its use of LED backlighting in LCD TVs, and was one of the first TV brands to offer 3D TVs and Smart TVs. Samsung offers a wide range of LCD TVs and is one of only a few brands that still sells plasma TVs. Its TVs are distributed widely in national and regional retailers, and in mass-market and discount outlets. In addition to LCD and plasma TVs, Samsung also sells DLP-based home theater front projectors.

Very happy with the TV and the price. I like it better than the Samsung 40 LED TV I also own. Much better blacks and I like the sharp colors. Some reviewers have mentioned the type of pixels this 60 TV has in a negative way but unless I stand witin 2 feet of the screen I can't see them. I've had no hum issues as I've seen commented in some reviews. I agree that the stand is not the most attractive but it is functional. Many reviewers don't like the remote but I do like it although I don't use it to change the cable stations as the remote is not so easy for that. My TV is in a fairly dark room, I do have an outside door with glass in the back corner of the room and if I focus on the screen I can see the door almost as if the screen was a mirror. Doesn't bother me since mostly watch it in the evening / night. Sound is not bad although I hooked mine up to a Samsung Soundbar. TV was easy to set up, including to internet wireless, and also the Smart Apps. I'm not a huge fan of the Apps but I have watched 1 movie via the Amazon app and it was very easy and quick.
How long have you owned it:
One-to-three months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
