About - Toshiba 29L1350U

The Toshiba 29L1350U is a 29-inch LCD HDTV with a native resolution of 1366x768 (720p). It has LED backlighting, a more energy-efficient type of backlighting. Many new TVs now have a higher frame rate that's designed to reduce motion blur during fast-moving scenes, a shortcoming of LCD technology.

There are 4 HD-capable inputs: 3 HDMI and 1 component-video, which doubles as a composite-video input. It has a VGA connection for using the TV as a computer monitor for those PCs that lack an HDMI output. It also has a USB port, which may be used to play media--photos, videos, and music--stored on a flash drive or memory card reader on the TV.

The Toshiba 29L1350U measures 18.3 inches high by 26.2 inches wide by 7.1 inches deep, including its base. The panel itself is 3.3 inches thick including any protrusions, and the screen has a near-matte finish. The bezel framing the screen is gloss black

The warranty on this TV covers parts/labor for 12/12 months, respectively. Other screen sizes in this model line include: 23L1350 (23"), 32L1350 (32"), 39L1350 (39"), 50L1350 (50")

Comment:
This television was a great bargain, once set up, the picture quality was the best I've ever seen I have seen for an LED. Whatever I watched from my TV or my DVD, it was perfect.I have 1 other Toshiba, so I figured it would be a good buy. I was right.

Comment:
We bought this tv just over 6 mo ago. Within 2 mo it started changing channels on its own. Talked with Toshiba tech support who had me go through some reset steps with the remote, even tho' I explained no one was touching the remote when this happened. Another 4 mo and now it changes channels constantly. Doesn't stay on the channel you choose more than 3 min. I called Toshiba 3 times within 4 hrs yesterday. First 2 reps said take it to my nearest authorized service provider. When I talked to them, they got in touch with Toshiba for authorization and were told I had to ship it back to Toshiba. This tv only cost me $200. By the time I buy the required packaging to ship, insure, and pay shipping, I would have paid half the price of another new one. I think they should provide pre-paid shipping box or replace the tv. At this point, I will NEVER put my money into another Toshiba tv. I had an excellent laptop from them, but this tv model is a waste of hard earned $$.

Comment:
Started with a 24 Visio, but the sound reminded us of talking into tin cans on a string. Then the picture faded in and out. Went to HD and 29 Toshiba and the sound is very good. Picture even better. Adjustment controls very easy to use.
