About - Vizio E601i-A3

The Vizio E601i-A3 is a 60-inch LCD HDTV with a native resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p). It has edge-mounted LED backlighting. That allows the panel to be extremely thin and also uses less energy than conventional fluorescent backlighting. Rather than the basic 60Hz, it has a faster 120Hz frame rate, a feature designed to reduce motion blur.

This model is Internet-enabled and can access online content, including streaming movie services. It has an Ethernet jack for connecting to your home network via a cable. This TV is also Wi-Fi capable, so you can connect it to your home network wirelessly. Its DLNA certification enables you to view digital photos stored on a compatible computer, phone, or other mobile device also connected to your home network.

There are 5 HD-capable inputs: 4 HDMI and 1 component-video, which can also be used as composite-video. To use the TV as a computer monitor, you can connect a newer PC via HDMI or use the VGA connection for an older PC that lacks an HDMI output. It also has 2 USB ports, which may allow you to plug in a thumb drive or memory card reader so you can play the stored photos, videos, and music on the TV.

The Vizio E601i-A3 measures 33.5 inches high by 54.1 inches wide by 11 inches deep, including its base. The panel itself is 1 inches thick including any protrusions, and the screen has a near matte finish. The bezel framing the screen is gloss black.

The warranty on this TV covers parts/labor for 12/12 months, respectively. Related models in this series include the E701i-A3.

Consumer Reports on line really helped
Clarity Outstanding
Great In Bright Room
Sound Only Fair
View At Angle Not Great
Best Uses
All Tv Viewing
We really needed a HDTV that was not phased by bright
daylight from two picture windows. Our older Mitsubishi was very compromised. The picture is very sharp, even though angled toward one picture window. We watch a variety of programming, movies, sports, science and nature. This model is perfect for us. The sound is only fair, but we have a home theatre that compensates for that. The picture while viewing off to the side is not sharp, but we can turn the TV on a swivel.

Excellent picture, unclear sound & blur
unclear sound

Broke down after a month I will have to repack and return. The 60 picture is excellent for a LED. I will replace with a TV that has a better sound rating.

Pretty good value for the money
Refresh rate

The picture quality is pretty good but the slow refresh 120hz make the motion in the picture look a little strange but not enough to ruin the effect. Since the 120 cycles/secz is the current standard this is common on most of the similar TV. The ones with the 240Hz refresh rates are much more expensive. Color and Brightness are very good and it has plenty of connections for all my toys, BD, XBox, CATV, PC. The remote also has a full keyboard on the back for internet searching with the WiFi connection.
Also got a great price because I bought it open box at Best Buy after the Superbowl.
Overall I like the TV and would buy it again.
