Purchased it to primarily remove chlorine taste from the city water used to brew coffee. Does an excellent job of this. Fills fast and easy with the faucet fitting that was included with the purchase. Bought it on line for less than twenty dollars. Excellent value.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
I use it for coffee water and it makes the coffee taste great. Love the `water meter that actually measures the amount you put through the filter. The only complaint and I am surprised CR didn't mention it is that the faucet adapter does not aerate the water which reduces the water flow by putting air bubbles in the water stream. I would recommend only if they do not mind wasting water when the Clear 2o adapter is on the spigot.

You must attach their faucet attachments. Because I had a problem inserting their attachment, I stripped some of the threads on my faucet and now I have to replace it. Delta replaces free for a lifetime.I called the company and their policy is 30 day return [...]You cannot reach their company directly until you hear numerous messages about how to contact other companies on their 'trunk' line. I like dealing with a company who answers their own phone. It's unfortunate because they received such a good rating from CR.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
I love this carafe for it's outstanding rating and reasonable price. However, when it's full it's awkward to handle and often spills whenever you take it in or out of the refrigerator.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
The attachment cord was only 6 dollars but worth every penny unfortunately it's a separate component as the one cord with the product is definitely too short. Otherwise this is a perfect buy. Very easy to install and the adapters are a nice added bonus to ensure sink to hose compatibility. Fills very fast. Filters looks like cost around $10 a piece and filter at least 50 gallons. The water tasted really good.
Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
read all the reviews, that's my only advice. Works terrific for me, no complaints

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
Read many reviews on this particular model and another brand. The main reasons why I purchased this carafe: 1) filters chemicals other brand did not and, 2) changing the filter is based on how often the filter is used, not how long it has been in the pitcher. Attaching the adapter to the faucet could be a pain for some, so pay attention before you buy.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
Best unit I've owned. Picked up online for ~$25. Great tasting water. Economical to operate, small compact size works nicely in small fridge at work. Found filters onsale at [...] for $5 each. The only con I have is that it requires a dedicated faucet attachment that has a sweet spot when attaching to the unit for refill.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
Have had the filter for a week - and it's great. The best is the speed of filtering: no more waiting so long for the water to drip through. It takes a few minutes to set up - you'll need a wrench - but not difficult. There's also a piece that adds an inch to your faucet but doesn't interfere. Much better filtration than other carafes.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
I bought it because of the reviews. I like it. The thing fills amazingly fast. The only thing is that you have to attach a special piece to the faucet. I have had no problems using the product as intended. However, I had to remove my low flow water conserving aeorator to put the filter's attachment on. Now my sink fills a gallon in 14 seconds as opposed to my water saving prior way of 37 seconds per gallon. (Yes, I timed it, I was curious if I was imagining this or not.)

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
Excellent water purifier. Despite using sink attachment, the refill is quick and easy unlike Brita which does not remove chloroform and takes forever to purify. Drawback is that you can't find refills at your local [...] store however for the price at the company website, you will save money in the long run because it's cheaper than Brita's refills and if you buy in bulk you'll save in shipping cost.I love it so much that I bought one for work to fill the coffee machine and to drink more water instead of soda.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
We were amazed at the difference in water taste despite the fact that the water quality in our area is good.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
The quality of the water in our area is considered very good, but it was easy to taste the difference. Excellent product for the money.
No maintenance except to clean pitcher and change filter after 40 gallons.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
I bought this filter because it was top rated by Consumer Reports.
You need to install an adapter in your kitchen faucet to be able to fill it. Water tasted like direct from the faucet. So I decided open the filer casing. Found that water passes from the fill tube to a meter which is connected to the filter via small O ring, which was not correctly seated. Reseated the O ring and it works. But, you shouldn't have to be fixing new stuff. Next time, I'll try the Brita.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
Love this pitcher. Fills in about a minute. Water tastes great. easy to install and use.
My only complaint is that they don't make a bigger model. We use it for cooking water, making iced tea, etc. I wish they sold a two or three gallon model I would buy it today.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
I bought this product to cut down on plastic waste. Unfortunately, I do not have a standard sized aerator in my faucet (if you have a European faucet system, this product probably won't work.) So far, the company's only help has been suggesting I attach it to a bathroom sink (however a standard size bathroom sink is too small to put the pitcher in and the attachment hose is too short to reach the spigot. BE AWARE THAT YOU MUST ADAPT YOUR AERATOR BEFORE BUYING THIS PRODUCT

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
You must hook this into an existing line that will have enough pressure to go thru the unit- The adapters that come with unit do not fit pull out faucets and did not fit in either of my two bathroom sinks and the laundry room sink faucet also did not fit with the adapters. Why did not Consumer Reports let me know about this problem- will be returning it
Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
I am a college student and I use this all the time. The great thing about is it when my [...] roommates don't fill it back up, it only takes me 30 seconds to do so. Water tastes great too!
Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
No more waiting for the Brita to drip... drip...drip. This carafe fills in seconds and provides deliciously pure tasting water. We use it every morning to make coffee and fill the kids water bottles for school and sports - and when it's empty we are just moments away from a full pitcher! No more plastic water bottles heading to the landfill from this home.
The only drawback is that the faucet attachment can be difficult for younger children to manage.

I have a Moens faucet with a handle rather than a standard faucet. Even after I remove the handle the adapters will not fit into the water connection.

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
I have been using Pur Filter Pitchers for years. Water always tasted great from Pur, BUT they ALWAYS clogged BADLY after minimal use. My latest Pur Pitcher after about 5 weeks of use would take almost 3 hours for the water to finally fully filter thru..that's nuts! This time I checked Consumer Reports..and found this Clear2o rated #2 by a point or 2 next to a $150-ish pitcher. Pur and Brita were at least 10-40 points DOWN from THIS Clear2o. Turns out Consumer Reports seems to have gotten this one right. WOW, after about 60 seconds..you have great tasting water totally filtered and ready to use, I think NINE cups!. As the Clear2o uses pressure from your faucet..even at the end of the filter's life span you can still expect a full pitcher of filtered water in 60 seconds or less. Compare THAT to 3 or more hours on a Pur. The filter has an indicator of green, orange, and red, so you will KNOW when it's time to change the filer, no more guessing!
The Clear2o filters yearly cost are supposed to be about 1/2 of Pur...not sure about Brita. The Clear2o most importantly supposedly is a BETTER filter than Pur and Brita as to what it will filter out. So you get super fast filtering that is superior to Brita and Pur and it will never slow down till you replace the filter.
My only criticism is the tube that attaches to the faucet is a bit short and not as flexible as it could have been. My first time attaching it, the pitcher tipped over, actually twice. But after a couple tries you get used to how to connect the tube...and I have to say it's actually fun to fill this thing! :)
One other thing that you may or may not like..the spout on the Clear2o is rather wide..so water comes out FAST. Once you know this, it's fine..but you have to be a little more careful when pouring from this pitcher if you don't want to overfill your glass..etc.
All in all I am REALLY impressed with this Filtering system. Worst part is trying to FIND it in stores, but with some research you can find these..
This company Applica? Seems to be involved with some huge companies such as Black and Decker so I feel rather confident they will be around a long time, and hopefully the filters, pitchers, will be easier to find locally..It's easy enough to buy on line already.
I think you are going to LOVE this thing!!

Comments about Clear2O CWS100A:
The water in my town is hard and tastes awful (like chlorine), which is my main concern. I was using both a faucet filter AND a pitcher filter to produce water that did not stink of chlorine. The cost of maintaining two water filter products was high but necessary. As a renter, I could not install an under the counter system and did not have the room for 5 gallon jugs from a water delivery service. After the faucet filter cracked (again), I looked for another, better, way to filter my water. After scouring the internet and finally checking Consumer Reports, I ordered the Clear2O CWS100A for less than $20.00.
The Clear20 was easy to install and although the system is somewhat awkward to use, the drinking quality of the water produced is exceptional. The speed of filtration is outstanding; in fact, I have overflowed the pitcher several times because I am used to waiting much longer for filtered water.
Because of the quality of this product, I was able to reduce my "process" from two filters to just the Clear2O CWS100A and the water tastes just as good as popular American bottled waters. Thank you very much Consumer Reports for recommending this product
