After receiving “anti-wrinkle” injections of cooking oil to her buttocks, a 46-year-old Castroville, Calif., woman died of organ failure. A beautician, who had charged about $1,400 to administer the series of shots, pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter, practicing medicine without a license, and grand theft, and in January 2007 was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
