| Age-related changes can slow the ability of the eye to adjust to low-light conditions, such as tunnels or parking garages,
and sudden brightness, such as sun glare and oncoming headlights at night. Certain prescription eyedrops used to treat glaucoma
can worsen the problem. During the day, remove sunglasses or use flip-up shades as you pull into a dimly lit setting. To minimize
the effects of glare at night, avoid looking directly at the headlights of oncoming vehicles. Instead direct your gaze down
the road and slightly toward the right side of the lane in which you're driving. |
