I use this as a wet shaver in the shower with Nivea gel. It is much closer than any dry shaver Including my previous Braun dry shaver. I also prefer to clean the head by holding it under the shower nozzle and then let it air dry. No cartridges to buy. Noise is not really an issue since the shower is running. Much prefer this to my previous Braun model. Panasonic has figured it out. Outstanding shaver, especially wet

Comment:
Only bad experiences using an electric razor. Hated each one I used. Burning skin and razor stubble were always a turn off. I also grew tired of the mess, replacement expense and inconvenience of using a blade. Did my research with Consumer Reports and a few online reviews, made the purchase and absolutely no problems with this razor. Close shave. No razor burn (especially when wet shaving). Use it anywhere. Buy it, you'll be glad you did just like I am.
