Guide to doctor Ratings

Choosing a doctor is one of the most important health care decisions you will ever make. It can also be one of the hardest. In fact, it's easier to get reliable information about cars or even vacuum cleaners than it is about physicians. To combat that, Consumer Reports has started to rate physicians. We are starting with primary care doctors in four states—California, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Wisconsin—and heart bypass surgery groups. We also give advice that can help you choose a doctor wherever you live, and better understand how doctor's offices work.
