My insurance determined this product through my local Durable Medical Supplier. I have used it faithfully for over 2 years. My numbers never correlated with my A1C levels. I thought my blood sugar was fairly controlled, but my last check up, my Dr. Suggested I start on insulin. I bought a different Glucose monitor from another company and compared results of both with each blood stick. The Advocate was reading 26 points less than actual. When I purchased the Advocate new, the lancet device would not stick my finger. I took it back and the supplier said it was faulty and gave me a used lancet device from a Different company. THis product is made in Russia. Don't wasTe your time buying this product. 25 points is huge discrepancy for a diabetic.
