Comment:
This product was given to me by my physician, as all his patients use the same meter for interfacing and tracking results in the office.

I acquired the same software so I can review and analyze results between doctors visits. It requires a special cable, not easily found, and not inexpensive. The software allows me to better manage results than could be done by scrolling through past results on the meter.

CR indicates a cost per test strip at about double the price that can be found online.

My readings SEEM to be reasonable, as I know when my blood sugar is low... and is reflected correctly on the meter. I also know if I've been 'bad' and readings seem appropriate for my level of 'badness'.

My experience has been OK. Software could certainly be improved. Also the addition of software features on the meter itself would be nice. A rolling 1 or 2 day average would seem easy to include.

Comment:
I had been using the Freestyle with good results compared to office visits. The OneTouch Ultra Mini reads about 28% higher than my Freestyle, based on over 11 samples. I called the company and they gave me a lot of comments that made no sense. My doctor uses the OneTouch because the office is equipped to download patient's meters and use pattern recognition software.

For me, I'll continue to use both for awhile, but I don't trust the OneTouch.
