Comment:
I purchased this unit based on CR recommended units. Ironically, I bought it to replace an Omron BP786 which was not only inaccurate but is another CR recommended BP monitor. After consistently high readings with the Omron, I took it to my doctor for comparison. During numerous test readings, the Omron was consistently at least 10-15 points higher than my doctor's monitor. So, I beat feet to Rite Aid and picked up this unit based on CR recommendation. Guess what? It was even WORSE. It gave readings even higher than the Omron. Based on how it compares to the Omron, I'm sure this would be consistently at least 20-30 points higher than my doctor's meter. I'm done with recommendations. I have a pretty good idea of how badly calibrated the Omron is, so I'm going to buy inexpensive meters until I find one that matches closer to my doctor's meter. I'm basically going to compare it to the Omron and once I feel I have a winner, take it to my doctor for solid confirmation. It may be some no-name but my experience has proven that you can't always trust brand names or product recommendations.

Comment:
The arm cuff is not easy to put on by yourself. It has a red patch on the cuff to align the cuff with your blood vessels. I could not both tighten the cuff and align the red guide at the same time.

I had just visited my doctor and I knew my low/high range and this model was much higher than those of the doctor.

Comment:
I bought this based on the CR review and it might be a very accurate machine in deed. But this cuff is SO HARD to put in my BP goes up trying to secure it :-| No matter which way I twist it doesn't get secured and my readings will be off by 10 or 20 points on the top number based on how the cuff is fitting. This is very frustrating since I do not know what my real BP is then. I'm now in search for my 3rd BP monitor and a better fitting cuff.
