Comment:
This is the only one I have used. I got it in May, 2010 and have changed the battery only once. I also have the PC link which is an extra cost ($30).

It is relatively easy to use and is very portable. The instructions for accessing the clock and inner workings are a bit vague.
Downloading the data to Abbott's logging application is relatively easy. The test trip supplier needs test logs every 6 months.

The test strips are very reliable. Only a very few have failed to work which may have been my error by contamination prior to test.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
