Cannot find small enough cuff for Mom
1/20/2013
Pros
Ac Adaptor Or Batteries
Readings Variance Small
Thumb Guide To Position
Cons
Cuff Rotates When Snugged
Will Not Read Skinny Arms
Best Uses
For Medium To Large Arms
Comment:
It's not easy to snug the cuff on to my average arm with one hand without it spinning out of position, however, I'm guessing they're all like that. Even with my assistance, it just will not get snug enough to read my Mother's skinny arm at all. I think many people will find this unit too difficult to use by themselves.
But, after taking several readings on my self with brief breaks in between, I think the varying readouts are probably within the acceptable tolerances. So I would still recommend this if it fits, especially for a permanent convenient in home location.

Comment:
To attempt to learn my Blood Pressure
Large Dsplay
Have to keep relocating cuff, and holding it down on the Arm,until it reaches about 14 then release it and it falls back and then still keeps inflating. If I don't, I get an E! Error, consistently.

Comment:
Have had good results with this monitor and the results seem in line with measurements made in the doctor's office (but I haven't done an actual comparison). Biggest negative is that the cuff has to be fairly snug at the start in order to have it say the cuff is OK. Measurements seem similar if the cuff is a little looser and the OK is not displayed so I suspect this problem could be fixed in their software.

Weakness
If you lose or otherwise do not have the ac cable then it does eat AA batteries. Thats the only thing I have to say against it and ive been using mine for over a year now
If you ever find this on sale, you should not pass it up! Found mine on a good sale when store closed. This is the best, most accurate blood pressure testing device I have ever used. Much more accurate then other cuff style upper arm cheaper non Omron machines and WAY More accurate then wrist style meters. Just DONT Lose your AC cable or might want to invest in battery company. If you test multiple times a day youll burn through the 4 AA batteries in just around 2 1/2 - 3 weeks, using energizer max, duracell, or rayovac batteries. Ive tried all 3, by the way Max lasted longest
